The Mayor’s Office of Valledupar, through the Ministry of Security and Coexistence, made the Security Council with the different authorities of the Municipality in order to implement a special device for the four days of the Silvestrista Festival, which will offer the wild artist Dangond.
The main objective is to guarantee the tranquility of the attendees and public order in the city during this massive event, which begins on May 29 with a walk that includes floats and will run until June 1, with three concerts in the Park of the Vallenata Legend.
According to the Contingency Plan presented by the Organization and supported by the Ministry of Municipal Government, the Security Device will feature the participation of the Secretariat of Security, National Army, Metropolitan Police, Red Cross, Civil Defense, Disaster Risk Management Unit, Voluntary Fire Department, Prosecutor’s Office, Colombian Family Welfare Institute (ICBF), ESCI Transport, and the Emergency and Emergency Regulatory Center (CRUED).
The Secretary of Security and Coexistence, Pablo Bonilla Vásquez, explained that measures similar to those implemented during the Vallenato 2025 festival will be taken, which became the safest in history.
“During the three days of Silvestre Dangond concert we will be, together with the National Police, controlling the flow of people to prevent any incident, in the same way, our operational capacity and with the accompaniment of the entire administration we will be during the walk and all the events we have around the festival,” he said.
For his part, the Secretary of Transit, Alberto Daza Sagbini, informed that there will be 20 traffic agents and 30 regulators during the walk of May 29, which will depart from the El Traveler Park and will arrive at La Pilonera Major Glorieta.
“Alcoholic sieves will be made to people who lead the floats. The May 29 day will also include the temporary closure of race 9 with 12th Street from noon and until the end of the walk,” said Daza Sagbini.
Lemir Becerra, a member of the Silvestre Dangond work team, expressed his gratitude for the support of the municipal administration: “We want Silvestre followers to enjoy this event in peace. With the Mayor’s Office and Mayor Ernesto Orozco we have worked on this security council to guarantee some parties in healthy coexistence. In addition, we have a solid logistics team of both the artist and the municipality to see Valle. red and enjoying ‘he last dance’, ”he said.
Becerra explained that private logistics will include 580 people, including operators and coordinators; In addition, the accompaniment with more than 300 National Police officers, as well as members of the Red Cross, Civil Defense, Voluntary Fire Department, Public Space, Risk Management, Transit Regulators, members of the ICBF, among others who will guarantee safety, mobility, health during the festival.
For concerts, May 30 and 31, the doors will open from 5:00 in the afternoon and access to the Legend Park by different access roads, such as the fourth race and the largest pylonera. As a novelty, on Sunday, June 1, the party includes the presence of minors from the age of 12, in the Vallenata Legend Park, that night the concert will begin around 10:00 at night and culminate after 2:00 in the morning. In the area and complying with the recommendations by the authorities, no minor may be without companion, the consumption or sale of intoxicating, energizing, nor tobacco drinks will not be allowed.
Assita Feris, Silvestre manager, pointed out that the festival will congregate about 100,000 people during the four days, where Valledupar will have an event with the presence of local, national and international followers, adding the engine of the economy resources to continue the growth and pointing to a city for the development and enhancement of culture.
