During an operation in Huitzontla, a town in the municipality of Chinicuila, in the Michoacan Sierra-Costa, the Navy faced the criminal cell led by the “Yogurt”, one of the regional operators of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG), which left a balance of 12 bids, three wounded sailors and nine detainees.

The armed group of “yogurt” is made up of Colombian Mexicans and former women with knowledge in the management of high power and war tactics.
According to intelligence reports, it was identified that the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel established an alliance with the Gulf Cartel, for the control of important border routes and crosses to the United States.
The reports report that the head of “Los Metro”, a faction of the Gulf Cartel, with a presence in Tamaulipas and Colima, César Morfin Morfin, aka “Primito” and/or “Metro 300”, was in charge of establishing the alliance, allowing the access and presence of members of the CJNG in municipalities in the northern part of Tamaulipas.
After the coup received by the Marina’s Special Forces, the criminal cell retreated in the territories that controls and reinforced the planting of explosive artifacts in the access gaps to the indigenous community, sources from the security cabinet reported.

The elements of the Navy seized the detainees of high power, artisanal explosives, as well as bulletproof vests, tactical clothing and a beret with the legend: “Mencho special forces. Yogurt operation”.
