They capture men transporting drugs

Armed Forces personnel located two men transporting marijuana in the district of Santa Tecla, La Libertad Sur.

The subjects are Manuel Alejandro Candelario Brizuela and Víctor Manuel Ríos Trujillo, from whom a large portion of dry herb, apparently marijuana, cash and 1 cell phone were seized.

The procedure was carried out in the Los Girasoles residential complex, in the aforementioned town. The men were handed over to the National Civil Police.

On June 9, the Minister of Defense, Francis Merino Monroy, reported the detection of Anderson Jafeth Discua Ulloa, alias “Legendario”, a homeboy from the Mara Salvatrucha who was located by a team of soldiers in Izalco, Sonsonate.

Merino Monroy explained that the subject, with the role of drug seller, appeared threatening on social networks, making signs alluding to the gang. “Today he will be prosecuted according to the law,” the official said.

“We reiterate our commitment to continue locating gang members until we completely eradicate this threat from our communities,” said Merino Monroy on the X network.

In another operation, the Armed Forces located in the Valle del Sol Urbanization, Apopa, San Salvador Oeste, Roberto Amilcar Flores Cerna, alias Chele, who has a current arrest warrant for illicit groups, possession and possession of drugs.
