Bukele gave his first speech as president of El Salvador Salvador for the period 2024-2029 after a solemn presidential investiture session highlighting the validity that the nations of the world have given to his government, certified in the visit of the largest number of delegations in history of the country for said investiture ceremony. In addition, he focused on the new challenge of his second term: healing the economy.

«The largest number of delegations that this country has received in its history has come. This government, which begins this day, has been recognized by 100% of the countries in the world. “All countries in the world recognize this government, despite what some opponents say,” Bukele commented during his speech.

President Bukele also highlighted the support of all Salvadorans, who have given their support to the measures implemented by their government and have left behind national and international organizations that have criticized these initiatives, ratifying the sovereignty of the country as an autonomous people.

«This is the most important moment in our recent history. We finally conquered fear and we are a truly free country. Freedom is one of the things that human beings long for most and our country, after a long time, finally has freedom. We have done it only with the glory of God and with the wisdom of God. The miracles that we have seen in this country are not few and, if God so wishes, many more will come,” he commented.

«I want to thank these great Salvadoran people who have made this possible, which seemed like a dream, but is now a reality. They have not only given us confidence in three different elections, but long before. To those who trusted since then and to those who joined along the way, thank you very much! », he added.

«On February 4, you reaffirmed that this is the path that you want for El Salvador, so that it can move forward and change forever. But, from now on, we have an enormous task: to protect, like a lion, our legacy, the greatest legacy that a government and a people, working hand in hand, will leave to future Salvadorans,” he remarked.
