They ask for punishment for the criminal and his lawyer for excessive chicanery

Prosecutor Juan Benegas asked the court for a punishment for Selva Portillo, known as Selva Hû. And his defender, lawyer Édgar González, for the repeated chicanery they presented to delay his trial.

Benegas accused the lawyer of being a Chicanero, something that was denied by González, who denied having requested the suspension of the last preliminary hearing.

The prosecutor justified his request in the “repeated delaying maneuvers” known as chicanes, which prevent the progress of the case opened against Selva Portillo.

“I deny having requested a suspension, they were the ones who said I am going to step aside because the lawyer is going to participate or be this lady’s lawyer,” González responded.

He recalled that he himself had denounced the judge in the case, Alberto Florentín, for malfeasance, but in another case, which is why the magistrate himself decided to recuse himself and this was what led to the suspension of the proceedings.

González reported that Selva Hû is being held in Emboscada, incommunicado in a maximum security cell and that she must request a scheduled hearing to speak with her client.

The woman had been detained by the Senad, for allegedly being a member of a gang dedicated to drug trafficking and commissioned crimes.
