It is noted that the parties discussed the need to further strengthen civil security. The countries of the region presented their plans and agreed on future coordination at the political, expert and tactical levels.

Within the framework of the meeting, it was decided to look for opportunities to finance common measures to increase resilience and responsiveness at the expense of existing European Union financial sources. Lithuanian Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite proposed the organization of joint exercises on mass evacuation at the regional level.

The ministers also discussed the situation on the external borders and security threats, paying special attention to the threats posed by Russia and Belarus.

They discussed the idea of an “unmanned border” – the possibility of permanent aerial security of the entire external border with Russia and Belarus, from Norway to Poland. According to Minister Bilotaite, the “drone wall” will become an important element in ensuring overall regional stability.
