These Artists Also Turned On ‘Emergency Warning’ Sirens to Monitor MK’s Decision

JAKARTA – A number of artis also voiced their aspirations on the political issues that have developed in recent days. Following in the footsteps of activists, they also uploaded photos with pictures Garuda Indonesia on their respective social media accounts.

With a blue background, right above the national emblem, the words “Emergency Warning” are written. This upload is a form of support for the Constitutional Court (MK) decision Number 60/PUU-XXII/2024 concerning the Requirements for Nominating Regional Heads on 2024 Regional Elections.

Public figures such as director Joko Anwar, Kunto Aji, Pandji Pragiwaksono, and Andhika Pratama were seen uploading the emergency warning siren on their X accounts.

In his latest tweet, Wednesday (8/21/2024), Kunto Aji appeared to upload a picture of Garuda with a blue background. The musician did not write any tweet there, but the uploaded image was enough to show his aspirations.

The same thing was done by Joko Anwar and Andhika Pratama. Without writing anything, they conveyed their aspirations of support for the Constitutional Court’s decision through the Garuda image they posted.

Comedian Pandji Pragiwaksono also took similar steps. Not only did he voice his support for the Constitutional Court’s decision, Pandji also criticized those who did not want to speak out about the developing situation or even opposed his choice.

“Those who say “Why are you following? That’s your choice” should shut up,” tweeted Pandji.

According to Pandji, the people should close ranks for the sake of the nation’s democratic progress. Not move away.

“We need as many troops as possible. People want to close ranks but are pushed away? Do you want to win the nation or do you want to win your ego?” he said.
