Many users are sharing this viral video by giving it a communal angle and are claiming that this fight was between two communities where one community attacked the other inside the mosque.

The Facebook page shared the viral post and wrote, “This house caught fire from the lamp of the house! Every day, such incidents come to light in which some Hindutva supporters and liquor lovers are seen vandalising mosques, raising slogans and waving saffron flags, which makes us very sad and angry, but when we see and hear such news, then believe me, that regret and anger reach the verge of ending, and these questions arise in the heart – what kind of complaint should be made against those who are hoisting saffron flags in mosques? Why should we feel sad about the cases of Muslims being lynched by mobs? What answer should be given to those who spew venom against us? How can we stop the laws (bills) being made against us? What solution should be found for all the human and financial losses being caused to us? Keep making requests, keep submitting memoranda, keep cursing the governments, keep knocking the doors of the courts, if any solution is found then let us know, remember no religion and no government is against us, rather we ourselves are our enemies, who are drawing the marks of our own destruction, I have always heard one thing from my elders that the world is killing us because we are believers and in the end Allah will punish us because where did we have faith in the world? Till we do not become complete Muslims, till we do not make the Quran and Hadith our blanket and bedding, till the wait does not end from within us, till then we will remain defeated in the whole world. Starting our investigation, first of all we searched different frames of the viral video through Google Lens. On searching, we found this video uploaded on many news websites and their YouTube channels. The viral video has been uploaded on News18’s YouTube channel on 3 September 2024. According to the information given with the video here, a shocking video has surfaced from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh. Here people beat up people in the mosque. Two parties are seen using sticks, rods and belts in the mosque. According to reports, this incident is of August 30. There was a fight between two children first, which spread to the elders.
On this basis, we proceeded with our investigation. To verify the viral claim, we contacted Additional SP Kumar Ranvijay Singh of Moradabad and shared the viral post with him. He confirmed to us that the fight in the mosque was between people of the same community, there was no Hindu-Muslim angle in it. First there was a fight outside the mosque over a small issue, then after the namaz both the groups clashed. An FIR has also been registered in this case, but there is no communal angle in this case.
During social scanning of the Facebook page that shared the misleading post, we found that this page is followed by more than 16 lakh people.
