There is such a story about the Stars that you won’t believe it!

Christopher Nolan’s cult sci-fi was shown 10 years ago, and since then fans have been watching it again and again to see if they understand the hidden connections that the director was aiming for.

It was introduced in 2014 by Christopher Nolan Among the stars his sci-fi movie, whose popularity to this day is proven by nothing better than the fact that American IMAX cinemas are showing it again this year. As a result of the upcoming 10th anniversary premiere, fans started to create even crazier stories about the film’s twisted story, which also includes elements of quantum physics. One of these big unravelings was recently brought back to public consciousness by a TikTok user named StarkVerse:

because according to his theory, Matthew McConaughey’s character, Cooper, was dead from the beginning in the film.

StarkVerse’s theory is based on the fact that he re-watched the film and spotted that some shots were used twice.

For example, Cooper’s plane is first seen at the beginning of the story, during a dream scene that ends with an accident, but the same image also appears later when the astronauts are on Miller’s planet. Of course, the reuse of footage is not that rare in movies, but Christopher Nolan is a notoriously meticulous director, he would hardly use the same footage twice without a compelling reason. The problem with all of this, however, is that if Cooper really was dead from the beginning, then we would have to assume the following about the film’s plot:

  • The wormhole scene is none other than Cooper’s trip to the afterlife (or at least a temporary trip to some kind of purgatory).
  • The interactions with his daughter, Murphy, and all the other major characters were figments of Cooper’s imagination, all pseudo-spiritual encounters.
  • The meeting scene at the end of the film is metaphysical symbolism, which means Cooper forgiving himself so that he can finally cross over to the afterlife in peace.

In his video, StarkVerse provides a lot of circumstantial evidence for his explanation and presents it in a very convincing way. There is only one problem with this: there are too many “what if” possibilities to rely on in order for this theory to be grounded and not a fabrication.

Despite the fact that to this day there is enormous interest in Among the starset, despite the constant demands of fans, it doesn’t seem likely that there will ever be a sequel to the film. Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros. have parted ways for the time being, because the director wants to deal with original projects in the future, and not with the continuation of his sci-fi masterpiece from 10 years ago.
