The government official itself stressed that “this support cost the state budget billions of dirhams, in the context of preserving the purchasing power of citizens”, stated during its interaction with the comments of “harsh” deputies: “The government is not hiding behind external factors, although these factors already impose themselves.”
The minister pointed out that “citizens buy today according to their capabilities, while the government is working to provide sufficient products in the markets, which contributes to reducing prices, while waiting for the improved global situation to reflect positively on the national market.”
With regard to consumer protection, the same spokesman explained that “this field is framed by several laws, supervised by multiple ministerial sectors. Besides Law 31.08 related to the determination of consumer protection measures, there are other texts, especially with regard to ensuring the safety and quality of food products, while the interests of the National Office for Health Safety of Food Products undertakes monitoring tasks within the limits of their competence, while monitoring of industrial products returns to the Ministry of Industry, Etc.
As for the retirement file, the Minister of Economy and Finance confirmed that “it is not possible to be an area of political auctions,” highlighting that “during the last social dialogue in April, it was agreed with the union centrals that the most appropriate formula for opening this workshop is the meeting of the National Committee in charge of reforming the retirement systems, which is expected to be held in the coming days”, and noting that “this does not mean the absence of work, as the experts of the funds and the insurance control authority participated in preparing studies in preparing studies The technology, which highlighted that the file is complicated and requires extensive time and discussions, while the technical committees will continue its work. We do not know, but we will see if all the partners want to make this workshop successful.”
Regarding the motivational role of the tax towards the contracting, the minister explained that “the tax policy is not limited to its impact on the state’s budget, but also has a fundamental role in economic development,” indicating that “the government descends the requirements of the framework law, which includes a set of answers on incentives, especially in the field of investment, where there are important tax measures in sectors that need support from the state.”
