There are two 4T candidates in Torreón

Yesterday two candidates for mayor of Torreón were declared the 4T candidates during the first debate between the five contenders where proposals were presented on security, employment, combating corruption, in addition to few criticisms.

The five candidates participated in the face-to-face meeting organized by the electoral authority so that citizens know their proposals and can exercise an informed vote on June 2.

Román Alberto Cepeda, PRI-PRD-UDC candidate, focused his proposals on the positive indicators that the city has had, such as security and job creation.

Shamir Fernández, from Morena-PT, focused his approaches on the fight against corruption, mentioning the affinity of his platform with the president of Mexico.

Sergio Lara, from the PAN, considered that it was a good exercise to apply for proposals and strengthen his experience in public service.

Ignacio Corona, from PVEM, called himself the candidate of the Fourth Transformation and defended the Healthy Water project.

Jorge Torres, from Movimiento Ciudadano, criticized the “old politics” and assured that young people do not feel identified with their opponents.

A strong security device was established outside the Crowne Plaza hotel, in which 110 elements of the Municipal Police, 80 of Traffic and Roads, 10 of Civil Protection and Firefighters, as well as two ambulances participated, as the presence of a large number of supporters of the PRI-PRD and Morena-PT, to support their candidates.
