Informatics and Programming competition held among schoolchildren concluded.
The “AZERCELL CUP” programming competition held by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the proud partner of the National Olympiad in Informatics team “Azercell Telecom” LLC in November of this year has ended. The final stage, which was organized with the participation of 140 people, lasted for 3 hours. At the end of the competition, the winners among the 6th-7th and 8th grade students were determined and awarded with medals. It is possible to get acquainted with the general results of the competition on the website www.olimpiada.edu.az.
Information about the awarding ceremony and preparatory classes will be sent to students via email. Participants who show high results will have the opportunity to participate in preparatory programs organized by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the preparation center for the International Olympics.
“Azercell CUP” aims to develop knowledge and skills in informatics science and programming among schoolchildren, to increase the interest of young people in this field, and to encourage them to participate in olympiads in informatics. Since 2017, with the support of Azercell Telekom, our schoolchildren have successfully represented our country and won a total of 48 medals, including 2 gold, 13 silver and 33 bronze. It should be noted that among the winning students there are also talented students discovered through the “Azercell CUP” competition.
