The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation with Africa and Moroccans Abroad of the Kingdom of Morocco, Nasser Bourita, as part of his business trip to the Republic of Gambia.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on various aspects of bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Morocco.
Speaking about the current cooperation agenda between the two countries, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted the existence of a wide development potential of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Morocco in trade, energy, education and inter-parliamentary relations and other fields.
J. Bayramov also noted that the contacts carried out on multilateral platforms such as the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the mutual support of the countries on these platforms for each other’s positions play an important role for bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the ministers signed an agreement between the two countries on the elimination of the visa regime for holders of general citizen passports.
