By sharing this video, it is being claimed that the dry rivers in Haridwar have started taking a fierce form and people are facing floods.

Facebook User Laxman Bihari shared the viral video on July 5 and wrote in the caption, “The fierce form of the dry river in Haridwar on June 29, 2024, dozens of vehicles swept away in the flood.”

To find out the truth of the viral claim, we extracted several key frames from the video and started searching them with the help of Google reverse image. We Video It was found uploaded on an Instagram account named aidacitraida on July 4, 2021. According to the available information, the viral video is of the flood in Japan.
Based on the information received, we started searching on Google using the relevant keywords. We found a news related to the claim Report Found on the website of 24h. The report has been published on 4 July 2021. According to the report, floods have been reported in Shizuoka and Kanagawa. Due to the flood, the ground slipped in many areas and houses broke and got washed away with the water. After these accidents, 20 people were reported missing.
We got viral Video The official X account of 10 News First found a post with the same information on July 3, 2021. The caption states that the video is from an incident that took place in Japan.
For more information, we contacted Haridwar reporter Deepak Prajapati. He told us that the viral claim is false. This video is not from Haridwar.
