Coach Gong Oh-kyun has not known the smell of victory since leading the Hanoi Police Club (CAHN).
On the evening of December 22, CAHN continued to disappoint when they lost at Khanh Hoa Club’s field in round 7 of V-League 2023-2024.
In this match, the reigning V-League champion soon took the lead thanks to Bui Hoang Viet Anh.
But then the Public Security team let striker Leazard score twice in a row and suffered a final defeat of 1-2.
Worth mentioning, this is the 4th consecutive match since coach Gong Oh-kyun took over, CAHN has not known the smell of victory.
Previously, CAHN lost 1-3 at Hai Phong Stadium, was held to a 2-2 draw by Nam Dinh and shared points in a goalless match with rookie Quang Nam.
Obviously this is an unacceptable result for the defending V-League champion.
Especially when they own a squad that is considered to have the best quality in Vietnamese football.
Under coach Gong Oh-kyun, CAHN is playing sporadically, lacking offensive ideas and also very careless in defense.
If in the near future, the person who was nominated by Coach Park Hang-seo for the Vietnam Football Federation does not help the home team of Hang Day Stadium improve its position, he is completely at risk of being fired.
However, when talking about this issue, Mr. Gong still seemed quite confident: “I don’t feel pressured. I still haven’t thought about that problem (being fired) and I will have to work harder in the next matches.”
Currently, CAHN has fallen to 7th place on the rankings with 9 points, 7 points behind Binh Duong’s top position.
In round 8 of V-League 2023-2024, coach Gong Oh-kyun and his team will return home to welcome Binh Duong.
