On April 20, the House of Representatives of the US Congress will vote on the new aid package to be provided to Ukraine.
The Russian service of the BBC writes about this.
The bill, which is supposed to allocate about 61 billion dollars to support Ukraine, remains blocked since the end of last year.
“If the bill is approved by the House of Representatives, it will be transferred to the Senate, where the majority of lawmakers support the aid to Ukraine. Then it should be signed by President Joe Biden, who has promised to do so as soon as the document reaches him,” the Russian service of the BBC writes.
The Ukraine aid bill provides for a total of $60.84 billion in spending, but $23.2 billion of that is expected to be spent on replenishing US military stocks, which have been reduced since military supplies to Kiev. 11.3 billion dollars will be allocated for operations carried out by the US military in the region, such as the training of Ukrainian servicemen outside the borders of the country and their military presence in the countries of the Eastern wing of NATO,” the Russian service of the BBC writes.
