The US Treasury has included three individuals and four legal entities in the list of sanctions against Iran for exporting American goods and technologies to Iran. This was reported by the department’s message.
“Today (February 14th), the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned a procurement network responsible for facilitating the illegal export of goods and technology to more than 20 US companies to end users in Iran, including: for the Central Bank of Iran,” the US Treasury Department said in a statement.
Sanctions have been imposed on two individuals from Iran and one from the UAE, as well as companies from Iran, the UAE and Turkey, which Washington says are linked to Iran’s central bank.
According to the American authorities, among the products and technologies acquired by the Central Bank of Iran were items related to ensuring information security.
The US accuses Iran’s central bank of providing financial support to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force and Hezbollah.
