The new jersey has been met with mixed reactions from fans. A designer named Cézanne Lincoln claims that he preferred his own design and dropped it at the last minute.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday night on their official Facebook page released the picture of the Bangladesh T20 World Cup jersey. As per the tradition, the jersey is dominated by dark green color. The entire jersey has a light tiger stripe print. The red line of the shoulder has also gone down in the pattern of the outer coat of the tiger. There is a light yellow in between and a gold print on the hand border. The jersey has Bangladesh and the sponsor’s name in white. The World Cup logo is in the same color. All 15 members of the World Cup team including Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan took a picture together wearing the Bangladesh jersey.

A few days before the unveiling of the jersey at midnight on Sunday, Sejan Lincoln posted a picture of the Bangladesh jersey on Facebook and wrote, ‘Will the Bangladesh team actually wear this jersey? May Allah forgive us, tell us Astaghfirullah.’ After unveiling the jersey on Sunday, he posted another post. He claimed there, even after his design was selected, how can such a design be the World Cup jersey of Bangladesh. Posting a picture of his design, Lincoln wrote on Facebook, ‘Dear BCB and Board Directors, I have given this design for your information. This design must represent Bangladesh and Bangladeshi culture. Moments before the jersey was made, I was told that Papon Bhai had selected the design.
