The collaboration between the company Mulliner, the internal division of Bentley engaged in the construction of bodywork and custom manufacturing, and the company Boodles, which won the Walpole Awards as the British luxury brand of the year 2023, began in May 2023, when a team of famous feathers visited the days of Mulliner. Together with his designers, they designed the interior of the car, which was characterized by a muted color palette, precious materials and complex craftsmanship details. And because they believed that such an interior deserves to be seen in the sunlight, they chose the only Bentley Continental GTC car as the composition.
The bodywork uses a bold and elegant palette of colors, the anthracite body color and the light ed roof tiles enhance the body and muscular lines of the open grand tourer. The 22-inch Mulliner wheels are Tungsten with a summer finish and the brake pads are gloss black. A stripe in the characteristic color of Boodles Powder Pink covers the line around the edge of the front spoiler, sill and rear spoiler. On the front fender, close to the doors, there is Boodles 1798 marked on both sides in ed color with chrome text. After opening the door, the Boodles logo is splashed on the ground.
Opening the door is a moment of sweat and revelation, the aim of the co-creator of the Boodles Continental GTC was to evoke the same feeling of time in everyone who enters the interior. As in the case of the body, the color spectrum is modern, the main color of the leather is Aloun Linen, complemented by Porpoise lights on the seat backs, the dashboard, the leather trim and the steering wheel. Boodles Powder Pink is used as an accent color on the steering wheel, the inner door pockets and the bottom seams of the console pockets.
The powder-like color is also used on the seat trim and on the metal trim, which follows the contours of the seats, dashboard, center console and lumbar support. The doors and the top of the seat covers are covered with a stitch with an interlacing Be Boodles motif, which required 278,566 stitches and six hours of hard work. Just like the car, the Be Boodles Bentley pvsek, set in the center of the console, was made to run as a complete piece. It features a mirror-reversed pair of diamond-set B emblems that mimic the enamelled lines of antique lace, crafted from 18-carat single mine gold. And the end of a pair of loose linen keels is lined in Porpoise with the inscription Boodles 1798 and edged with Powder Pink piping.
