The truth about Jihan Kidari’s withdrawal from acting

Moroccan actress Jihan Kidari sparked widespread controversy on social media platforms after appearing in a video clip in which she addressed a touching message to her audience, which raised concerns and raised many questions about the truth of what she said.

In the circulated video, in which she appeared with sadness evident on her face, Jihan said that every artist seeks fame and the spotlight, before adding that this fame did not provide her with a sense of security, and therefore she decided to stay away.

In this context, a special source revealed to Hespress that the video is related to a promotional campaign for a new movie in which the star of “Salamat Abu Al-Banat” plays the lead role, and it is the first in her artistic career after her brilliance in a group of television works.

The same source added that the new film is titled “Obsession,” and was filmed two years ago in the cities of Fez, Ifrane, and the surrounding areas, under the direction of director Ibrahim Al-Idrissi. Its events revolve around the story of a young man named Saeed, who is obsessed with a famous artist, and he pursues her everywhere, turning her life into daily terror.

A Hespress source revealed that the makers of the film chose to adopt a promotional strategy for the film by paying sums of money to pages dedicated to publishing celebrity news in order to publish the aforementioned video, which is a clip taken from the film.

He pointed out that the movie “Obsession” is expected to boost Moroccan cinemas in the coming few days, as the pre-premiere will be organized at the Megarama cinema complex in Casablanca, next Thursday evening starting at 7 pm, in the presence of its stars and a group of celebrities and media professionals.
