The truth about extending “Dar Al Nisa” for a second season

Social media users circulated news about the possibility of extending the social drama series “Dar Al Nisa”, which was shown during the last Ramadan season on the “Al Oula” channel, for another season after the great success it achieved throughout its showing.

A source from the production company revealed to Hespress that there is currently no idea about filming a second part of the series “Dar Al Nisa.”

The same source added that the scenario of the work was completed around the thirtieth episode, noting that “the news currently being circulated is just rumors.”

The Hespress source added that the video clip in which actress Ibtissam Al-Arousi and her colleague Nora Al-Saqali appeared talking about the developments of the events after they entered prison in the last episode is what made it likely that another season of the work would be filmed, stressing that “it is possible to think about producing a second part in the future; but not now, because the crew is busy filming other works.”

The aforementioned source reported that Al-Arousi and Al-Saqali met again on the set of another artistic or advertising project that had no relation to the drama series “Dar Al-Nisa.”

It is worth noting that the series “Dar Al Nisa” brought together a group of the most prominent stars of the Moroccan art scene; such as Nora Al Sakali, Ibtissam Al Arousi, Saadia Ladib, Hind Al Saadidi, Mahdi Foulane, Fatima Zahra Qanbou, Saad Mouaffak, Omar Asil, Rabie Al Sakali, Buthaina Al Yaakoubi, and Nada Al Belqasmi, in addition to other names; the Moroccan actress and director Samia Akriou chose the same artistic faces that shone in the series “Yaqout and Anbar” four years ago, with the addition of new faces in keeping with the saying “We do not change a winning team.”

The drama series “Dar Al Nisa”, which was shown as part of the Ramadan programming for the past season on the “Al Oula” channel during the “prime time” period, shed light on a group of social stories and taboos that are not addressed; most notably rape, complex relationships, childbirth outside of marriage, divorce, and the impact of social media on family life.
