The 9th tripartite meeting of Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey foreign ministers was held in Baku.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov delivered an opening speech at the event and said that the current regional cooperation between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, which is based on historical neighborly and friendly relations, is based on the basic principles of international law, such as territorial integrity and sovereignty.
“In this direction, it was noted that the current high-level dialogue between the 3 countries, inter-parliamentary relations, as well as relations between various state institutions, contributed to cooperation within the framework of regional and international platforms. Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey are working on the economy, trade, investments, energy security, transport and communications, rural the existence of a mutually beneficial cooperation agenda in the areas of economy, efficient management of water resources, tourism, humanitarian, etc., as well as the connection of successful energy projects connecting the Caspian and Black Sea basins, as well as transport and communication potential of the region. the importance of continuing with initiatives in the fields was emphasized”, the information stated.
It was also brought to attention that J. Bayramov gave detailed information about the current situation in the region during the post-conflict period, restoration and reconstruction works in the liberated territories, demining activities, as well as the normalization and peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Pointing out that after the liberation of Azerbaijani lands from Armenian occupation, as well as the full restoration of our sovereignty in all our territories, a historic opportunity for peace has arisen in the region, the MFA chief emphasized the importance of refraining from steps encouraging Armenia to revanchist rhetoric by the international community in this direction, as well as supporting direct bilateral negotiations within the normalization process.
At the meeting, the issues arising from the current multilateral cooperation agenda between the 3 countries, the perspectives of regional cooperation and other bilateral and multilateral issues were discussed. In the end, the Baku Declaration on the results of the tripartite meeting was signed, as well as the ministers made statements within the organized press conference.
