The terrible experience of the coronavirus in China: it kills in 8 days – 2024-02-14 23:27:12

After the start of the coronavirus epidemic, another virus crisis has occurred in China, where all eyes are on. The news of the existence of a mutant version of the coronavirus, which was allegedly produced by Chinese scientists in Wuhan laboratories and spread to the world, has left its mark on the world agenda. Voices of concern have been raised from the world of science against the deadly mutant virus.

Publika.az reports that a new experiment conducted in China shook the world. While there are still claims that scientists in Wuhan laboratories were involved in the emergence of the coronavirus, this time the issue of a “deadly mutant virus” has come up.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, US intelligence agencies have announced that they have not found direct evidence that the virus leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan, but the source of the virus remains unclear.

This time, Chinese scientists drew the world’s attention with their work on a mutant type of coronavirus called “GX_P2V”. According to reports in the world press, Chinese scientists have experimented with a mutant virus that is 100 percent lethal in a study.

The statement said that “GX_P2V” is a mutated version of “GX/2017”, a “relative” of the coronavirus that was discovered in Malaysian pangolins three years before the pandemic.

According to the details of the experiment, GX_P2V infected the lungs, bones, eyes, trachea and brain of mice. The virus, which spreads quickly enough, first emaciates the animal. Many weak mice had completely white eyes by the end of the 7th day.

Mice infected with the virus died in just 8 days. Researchers say it was a surprisingly quick death.

The said research has also confused the world of science. Francois Balloux, an epidemiologist at University College London’s Institute of Genetics, said the study was “appalling” and “scientifically completely pointless”.

“I don’t see what can be learned from forcibly infecting humanized mice with a random virus. On the contrary, I can see how something like that could go wrong.”

Balloux also strongly criticized the lack of biosafety level and precautionary measures in the test reports: “This situation raises the possibility that research with a potential pandemic pathogen was conducted carelessly without taking minimum biosafety measures.”
