“Hesport” learned, from a well-informed source, that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) rejected the request of the Algerian Football Federation to urgently suspend the decision of the Appeals Committee of the African Confederation for the same game, in the case of considering the Ennahda El Berkaneh team as the winner over USM Algiers, in the semi-finals of the Cup. “CAF”, after the country’s authorities prevented the entry of sportswear for the Moroccan delegation with the entire map of the Kingdom.

The newspaper’s source revealed that “TAS” refused to stop the “CAF” decision “to lose the first leg of the African Confederation Cup semi-final against RS Berkane by three clean goals, while referring the file to the Disciplinary Committee for the possibility of issuing possible disciplinary decisions.”

The same source explained that the International Arbitration Court will consider the urgent request of the Algerian Football Federation, to issue its decision on the matter. But without immediately invalidating the decision issued by the CAF Clubs Committee.

It is worth noting that the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final, which was scheduled for Sunday at the municipal stadium in Berkane, did not take place due to the Algerian club USM Algiers abstaining from playing the match due to the presence of the map of Morocco on the “RSB” shirt. The first leg was not held, either, after the Algerian authorities seized the Moroccan team’s shirts at Houari Boumediene Airport for the same reason, so CAF announced the victory of RS Berkane in both matches by a score of 6-0.

Nahdet Berkane Club will meet in the final round with the Egyptian team Zamalek, which defeated the Ghanaian team Dreams in the semi-finals by 3-0 on aggregate of the two-legged results.
