12 years after Qatar, an Arab country with a population of 2.8 million people, won the lottery to host the World Cup, a tournament in which Qatar invested over these 12 years that preceded its launch more than $220 billion in its infrastructure, including roads, airports, and railways. Railways, hotels and eight international football stadiums enable the country to receive two million visitors from all countries of the world to witness the international football event that has never been seen since the start of the first World Cup in 1930, which was held in July in Uruguay.
