The snow is coming, but for the last time | Weather forecast

Next week in the Netherlands it will probably snow for several days, Weerplaza reports. It will be another week of winter temperatures, but probably the last for a while.

The week begins Monday with winter snow across the country. This is due to the northwest wind coming from northern Norway. At an altitude of 10 kilometers, the air has significantly cooled, causing winter precipitation to fall.

This precipitation will probably remain only a little longer away from the coast, because the surface temperature is relatively high due to the so-called onshore wind. Especially in the south and east of the country it can stay white a little longer. It’s probably a few inches of snow. On Monday the maximum temperature will be between 1 and 4 degrees.

More snow is expected on Tuesday as temperatures will be lower initially. This winter precipitation can also cause slippery conditions. In the afternoon the sun comes out here and there and the temperature rises to around 1 degree above zero in Limburg and 3 degrees in the Wadden Islands.

The weather forecast for Wednesday’s snowfall is still uncertain. The greatest certainty concerns Limburg, parts of Brabant and the river area. It’s still hard to say how much snow there is there. There will be 1-2 degrees.

From Thursday the possibility of snow will continue, but showers will be less and less frequent. During the day the temperature will be slightly above zero, but at night highs of around 7 degrees below zero can be reached.

It is therefore not excluded that at the end of next week we will be able to return to skating on flooded meadows and reclaimed ice rinks. But it will be short-lived, because after next week the winter scenes will be over for the time being.
