“People of Barranquilla, I inform you that, thank God, after the heavy rains and gusts of wind on Monday night, there were no human losses,” said the mayor.

According to preliminary figures, more than 150 houses were affectedwhile so far, relief agencies are working on collecting more than 140 fallen trees.

“We have been working exhaustively all night with the @alcaldiabquilla team, public service companies and city relief agencies to identify and address damages in the 5 localities, such as fallen trees and poles, damage to electrical networks and blown-off roofs.”
