Mr. Ngo Ngoc Duc, former Secretary of the Hoa Binh City Party Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, former Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; and Mr. Le Duy Minh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance, have just been expelled from the Party.
On September 6, the Politburo and Secretariat reviewed and disciplined party organizations and party members with violations and shortcomings.
After reviewing the proposal of the Central Inspection Commission, the Politburo and the Secretariat found that the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term violated the principle of democratic centralism and the Working Regulations; lacked responsibility, slackened leadership, direction, and lacked inspection and supervision, allowing the Party Delegation of the Provincial People’s Council, the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People’s Committee and many organizations and individuals to violate.
These violations are related to a number of investment projects implemented by Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company in Bac Giang province.
Regarding violations by some party members at the Party Committees of Hoa Binh province and Ho Chi Minh City, the Politburo and Secretariat have determined the responsibilities of many related individuals.
These people include: Mr. Ngo Ngoc Duc, former Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council of Hoa Binh City (Hoa Binh Province); Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, former Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; Mr. Le Duy Minh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance, former Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department.
According to the Politburo and Secretariat, these officials have degraded in political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, and in preventing and combating corruption and negativity.
They also violated the Regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and very bad effects on the reputation of the party organization, agency, and work unit.
Based on the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of violations by the above-mentioned Party organizations and Party members, according to the Party’s regulations on disciplining violating Party organizations and Party members, the Politburo decided to impose a disciplinary warning on the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
The Secretariat decided to expel from the Party the following individuals: Ngo Ngoc Duc, Nguyen Thi Hong, and Le Duy Minh, and at the same time requested competent authorities to promptly and consistently enforce administrative discipline in line with Party discipline.
