Davos’ D-604 debuted the new word “neo randonneur” just as gravel was starting to become popular. The reason we purposely used the word randonneur instead of gravel is because we don’t focus exclusively on driving on unpaved roads, but because gravel driving is part of tourism and we want to have fun by freely connecting paved and unpaved roads. we start from the desire to receive something. The concept of neo-randonneur was proposed in the sense of rebooting the way of playing similar to the old randonneur.

For this reason, the design of the D-604 was designed to allow flexibility in driving situations and in the assembly of parts. For example, the geometry has been adopted to create a natural riding position with both flat and drop handlebars, making it easier to create a bike that adapts to the rider’s preferences.

The D-604 will be updated to the second generation in 2023 and sales will finally begin. The new model uses the original tube and the frame itself has been modified, for example by changing the head tube from tapered to straight. The biggest change was that the rear end became a slider type. This design allows the D-604 to be built as a single-speed bike without a chain tensioner, making it possible to customize the bike with a simple setup. It’s no exaggeration to say that the bike has evolved into a bike that allows for more styles than ever before.

The pedestal on the back of the downtube has three eyelets, and by rethinking the position of the pedestal itself, we were able to centralize the center of gravity under load. This evolution increases driving stability even at full load, reducing stress during the tour. There is also a hook on the back of the seat stay for hanging the chain.
