The school program of the Passover holiday will be extended to evacuee students in grades 4-12

The Ministry of Education announced today (Monday) that the Ministry’s program ‘The Great Freedom School’, which operates during the Passover holiday and is intended for kindergarten students and grades 1-3, will be expanded to evacuee students in grades 4-12. The expansion is intended for students who were evacuated by government decision. The expansion is not Harms the participation of students evicted from Kindergarten and 1st-3rd grades.

The program for evacuees will be fully funded by the ministry and will be operated by the community for community groups. The activity will focus on reducing educational gaps alongside enrichment programs and social and emotional content. In the Arab society, emphasis will be placed on linguistic literacy.

The mode of activity will be adapted to the older classes. For grades 4-6 there will be one-day trips, enrichment activities and cultural shows. For the youth in grades 7-12, youth complexes will be operated in the local authorities from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. In these complexes, there will be a variety of cultural performances, creative, baking and cooking workshops. In addition, these layers will also receive one-day trips.

At the same time, the rest of the Kindergarten and 1st-3rd grade students from around the country will participate in the ‘School for the Great Vacation’ program at a nominal cost to the parents according to the socio-economic cluster of their place of residence.
