At the end of the NHL transfer deadline, fans were shocked by some surprising news. Czech hockey player Tomáš Hertl (30), who spent his entire career with the San Jose Sharks, was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights. However, it is a big change not only for the Stanley Cup finalist, but also for his wife Aneta (30) and their sons Tobias (3) and Theo (1), who will have to look for new friends in the gambling capital. At least they said goodbye to the old ones at the garden party.
“It’s almost a miracle that we managed to calm all the boys down for a moment and take a picture,” wrote an amused Aneta, whom the attacker married in 2019, to a photo of Tobias laughing alongside his friends. “We will miss the Hertlovic boys,” added Aneta’s friend to the next picture. The striker has been a striker since 2019
Tomáš Hertl was drafted by the Sharks in 2012 and a year later he also made his NHL debut. He then came to the attention of the public in his third game, when he scored four goals against the New York Rangers.
Since then, he has been with the team for 11 years and has found a new home in the West Coast city. San Jose’s greatest success came in 2016, when they reached the Stanley Cup finals, but unfortunately fell short of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Tomáš Hertl also achieved great performances in the national team jersey. He made his debut in it in 2012, when Alois Hadamczik invited him to the Karjala Cup tournament. In 2013 and 2014, he then took part in the World Championship, where he was one of the mainstays of the team and played in the first attacking formation with Jaromír Jágr. In 2022, he won his first medal at the world championship.
