The rule of law on the scales of Metsola

The agenda of the European elections – challenges such as immigration, the economy and security – Roberta Metsola opened from Athens on her first official visit as president of the European Parliament, sending a message of participation in the June 9 ballot. The same message was sent by the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Parliament, with Kyriakos Mitsotakis, proposing the postal vote, giving importance to the strong representation of Greece in Europe and the building of European “strategic autonomy”. Metsola was successively in Maximou, the Presidential Palace and in the Parliament in the shadow of the resolution-condemnation of the European Parliament for the rule of law in Greece. In fact, she belongs to the family of the European Center-Right, the EPP, from which there were persons who supported the resolution. The Greek government insists on denouncing it, attributing it to expediencies in view of the ballot box.
