The results of a poll for Victory Day have been published

During the period from May 2 to May 5, a survey of citizens regarding Victory Day was conducted on the eGov mobile platform, Liter.kz reports.

23,154 people from all regions of the country took part in the survey. Of these, 52% are men and 48% are women; 71% of city residents and 29% of rural residents; 66% Kazakhs, 21% Russians and 13% other ethnic groups; 21% (ages 18-29), 54% (ages 30-45), 21% (ages 46-60), 4% (ages 61 and older).

75.2% of respondents indicate that among their relatives there were participants in the 1941-1945 war.

Sociological data show that a significant proportion of Kazakhstanis have relatives who took part in the war of 1941-1945. At the same time, Kazakhstanis aged 46-60 years (83.9%) and over 61 years (88.6%) are most familiar with the military history of their family, the information says.

Among the participants of the 1941-1945 war, the most famous heroes from Kazakhstan are Alia Moldagulova, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, Manshuk Mametova, Rahimzhan Koshkarbaev, Kasym Kaysenov, Talgat Begeldinov.

At the same time, the e-government press service indicated that the amount is not equal to 100%, since respondents had the opportunity to select several answer options.

Alia Moldagulova – sniper, killed 78 enemy soldiers and officers during the war. Posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.

Baurzhan Momyshuly – officer-colonel, writer. He became especially famous in defensive battles near Moscow in the Volokolamsk direction in the autumn-winter operations of 1941–1942. In the Battle of Moscow, battalion commander B. Momyshuly led his soldiers to the attack by personal example and skillfully organized the defense on the strategically important Volokolamsk Highway.

Manshuk Mametova – machine gunner, the first Kazakh woman to be awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.

Rahimzhan Koshkarbaev – On April 30, 1945, together with his colleague Grigory Bulatov, they were the first to erect a banner on the wall of the Reichstag in Berlin.

Kasym Kaysenov – participant in the partisan movement during the war of 1941-1945, famous writer.

Talgat Begeldinov – attack pilot, twice Hero of the Soviet Union. He held the military ranks of colonel in the USSR and major general in Kazakhstan.

In addition, respondents noted the exploits of such heroes as Malik Gabdullin, Khiuaz Dospanova, Nurken Abdirov, Ivan Pavlov, Leonid Beda, Sagadat Nurmagambetov, Sergei Lugansky, Tolegen Toktarov, Zhanibek Yeleusov, Sultan Baimagambetov and others.
