The National Registry of Civil Status confirmed the decision that prevents the former mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero Calleregister through signature collection for the 2026 presidential elections. Through the Resolution 14125 of November 11, 2025the entity firmly rejected the registration committee called Total Reset Against Drug Trafficking and the Corruptwith which Quintero sought to run his candidacy.
The determination was adopted by the Delegate Registrar for Electoral Matters, Jaime Hernando Suárez Bayonawho concluded that there were no errors of fact or law that justified revoking the previous resolution (13881 of November 6). “Confirm the decision adopted through Resolution 13881 of November 6, 2025, by which it was resolved to reject the registration of the registration committee of the significant group of citizens called Total Reset Against Drug Trafficking and the Corrupt”.
Hours after learning of the ruling, Daniel Quintero He reacted on his social networks. In a message published on November 11, he stated that he had already filed the appeal and demanded speed in the response from the Registry.
“I hope that the Registry Office responds to the appeal as soon as possible to begin collecting our signatures this week. We have already lost three weeks,” he wrote in X.
