‘The Railwayman’ and the fear of smog

Everyone knows that Lahore ranks first in the world in terms of air pollution.

This city is also facing a terrible situation like smog and the Punjab government is also taking important steps in this regard.

I have been living permanently in Lahore for only two years but every year due to the environmental and noise pollution here I am suffering from various diseases during this season.

People have been writing and talking about how smog affects the skin and eyes as well as respiratory ailments for a while, but fear of its harms took a heavy toll after watching a short Netflix series.

The series ‘The Railway Man’, which tells a story based on a true incident in Bhopal.

The sight of thousands of civilian deaths caused by a gas leak from a foreign fertilizer company was painful and terrifying.

After watching this series, the perception of environmental pollution due to the smoke, gases and other emissions from different factories around the world becomes so scary that while breathing in this smog, we also find ourselves in this series. Part of it starts to understand.

This is the reason why since that day I have been searching the internet for the causes of smog from time to time.
