Chicken eggs in Russia have fallen in price by 2.58% since the beginning of 2024.

According to the department, from January 30 to February 5, the price of eggs decreased by 0.73%. In that period, the price of chicken meat decreased by 0.5%. Since the beginning of the year, the price of chicken meat has decreased by 3.18%. The cost of buckwheat decreased by 0.4 percent, and the cost of millet by 0.3 percent. At the same time, canned meat for baby food, sunflower oil, sugar, hard, semi-hard and soft cheeses decreased by 0.2%. The prices of canned vegetables for baby food, semi-smoked and cooked smoked sausages decreased by 0.1%.
At the same time, the cost of cucumbers increased by 4.6%. White cabbage went up by 4.2 percent, table beet by 2.3 percent, carrots by 1.6 percent, onions by 1.3 percent, potatoes and apples by 0.9 percent. Beef, sterilized milk, sour cream and table salt went up by 0.4%, frozen fish and bananas by 0.3%. Pork, lamb, sausages, boiled sausages, butter, flour, and rice increased in price by 0.2 percent. At the same time, prices of dry milk mixtures for baby food increased by 0.1%.
On January 31, the executive director of “Rusprodsoyuz” association Dmitry Vostrikov announced that the average retail price of a dozen eggs in Russia has decreased.
