Subsequently, they went on a planned visit to the prison in Vinařice. First lady Eva Pavlova headed to the women’s prison in Velké Přílepy.

They addressed the availability of schools and health care, but also Ukraine

“In the first place, I would name the budgetary determination of taxes, which is a long-term problem not only of the Central Bohemian Regionbut also all others, because the formula for calculating the budget determination of taxes for the regions has not changed since 2005, and in the meantime, of course, there have been significant changes in all regions,” noted Pavel.

“We also talked about the state of the roads, traffic service, which is a big problem in the region due to the fact that it is a region that is very vast and also has the capital city of Prague in the middle. A number of roads and railways run through it, which are extremely busy,” he said on the press release. Other topics were the availability of schools of all grades related to a “relatively enormous increase in the number of inhabitants” or availability of health carePavel added.

Pecková reminded that the Central Bohemian Region supports Ukraine and that she and Pavle talked about the need to continue the support. “We support our partner region, the Kyiv region, at the same time we are on the previous council released a million crowns for the purchase of Nemesis drones and we are preparing to transport about 12 buses to Ukraine to transport children to schooll,” pointed out the governor.

Breakfast and flowers for the first lady

How did the presidential couple’s tour of the Central Bohemian Region begin? Around nine o’clock, Pavel arrived at the Regional Office in Prague in Smíchov, where a ceremonial welcome took place. Pavlov had breakfast with Governor Pecková.

A unique region, a unique visit. Mr. President Petr Pavel and his wife, Mrs. Eva Pavlova, came to the Central Bohemian Region for an official visit. I welcomed them together with director Jan Louška at our office … in Prague, which is not in our region until we connect it.” Governor Pecková (STAN) wrote on Facebook.

The breakfast was prepared by the Secondary Vocational School and the Kladno – Vrapice Practical School, while the flower decoration and the flower for Mrs. Eva were taken care of by the Higher Vocational and Secondary Agricultural School Benešov. “Bouquet for the First Lady from our gardeners What to add? We are happy and proud” the school said on Facebook. “Both schools really presented themselves in a great light,” praised the governor.

Ax for Pavel

“After all, we also debated about education before the allotted time ran out and the pleasant item of the program came, i.e. the handing over of gifts. Here, too, we bet on the skilled hands of the Central Bohemians. For Mr. President, this is an ax from Petr Pěchota, who was a finalist in last year’s Entrepreneur of the Year competition of the Central Bohemian Region, and his products are really beautiful.” Governor Pecková described. The ax is handmade.

When it came to the state of the roads in the region and finances for schools, the president said that he had already talked to the prime minister and the minister of finance about financial resources for the regions and intended to continue doing so.
“Since 2005, the formula for calculating the budget determination of taxes for the regions has not changed, and in the meantime, of course, there have been significant changes in all regions, so a debate about how to adjust the formula is appropriate,” said Pavel after the meeting with Governor Pecková.

After that, another marathon of negotiations and stops began, as the governor herself called the next stage.
