The Pope again called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He expressed deep sorrow over the death of volunteers of the NGO “World Central Kitchen” (WCK) as a result of an Israeli airstrike.
This was reported by Euronews, noting that the Pope once again called for the availability of humanitarian aid and the immediate release of prisoners.
“Let’s avoid irresponsible attempts to expand the conflict in the region and work to end these and other wars as soon as possible, which continue to bring death and suffering to many corners of the world,” the Pope said.
As a result of an Israeli air strike in the center of the Gaza Strip, 7 employees of the NGO “World Central Kitchen” (WCK) were killed.
Among the victims are citizens of Australia, Britain, Poland, employees with dual citizenship of the USA and Canada, and Palestinians. They were in armored cars with WCK logo on them.
