The 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which dominated on June 21 and 22 in Istanbul, praised its decision on “the capital of the State of Palestine, Al -Quds Al -Sharif”, for the continuous efforts made by King Mohammed VI, head of the Jerusalem Committee, to protect Islamic sanctities in Jerusalem Sharif.
The session valued the tangible role played by the Beit Mal Al -Quds Al -Sharif agency, the executive arm of the Jerusalem Committee, through the completion of several development projects for the benefit of the residents of the Holy City and supporting their steadfastness.
The “Istanbul Declaration” also noted the efforts made by the Jerusalem Committee, headed by King Mohammed VI, and its executive arm, Al -Quds Al -Sharif, to preserve the identity of the Holy City as a symbol of tolerance and coexistence between the three divine religions, and to maintain its legal status.
Today, Sunday, Istanbul concluded the works of the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, by adopting the Istanbul Declaration and a group of decisions that dealt with a number of political, economic and cultural issues of concern to the Islamic world.
