The number of public transport passengers has reached 1 million again

JAKARTA – The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) noted that users of public transport for Eid 2024 based on data on H+2 Eid or April 13 2024 reached 1,111,050 people. This data was monitored from the 2024 Integrated Eid Transport Center Post at the Ministry of Transportation Office, Jakarta.

“On H+2 of Eid, the number of public transport users again reached one million people, meaning that the movement of people has started to become massive to return from their hometowns,” said Ministry of Transportation spokesperson Adita Irawati, in Jakarta, Sunday (14/4/2024).

In detail, the number of public transport passengers per mode of transport on H+2 of Eid is as follows:

– Road transport of 251,125 passengers. This figure increased by 0.06% compared to last year or 250,963 passengers, and increased by 121.17% compared to normal daily movements.

– Crossing transportation of 278,641 passengers. This number decreased by 8.09% compared to last year or 303,183 passengers, but increased by 904.58% compared to normal daily movements.

– Air transportation of 258,367 passengers. This figure decreased by 3.27% compared to last year, namely 267,097 passengers, and increased by 107.06% compared to normal daily movements.

– Sea transportation of 86,883 passengers. This figure is down 2.03% compared to last year’s 88,687 passengers, and up 83.98% compared to normal daily movements.

– Train transportation of 221,139 passengers. This number increased 7.98% compared to last year’s 204,801 passengers, and increased 66.89% compared to normal daily movements.

Then for private transportation, based on data on H+2 of Eid, the number of cars leaving and entering Jabodetabek via the Jasamarga toll road and arteries was recorded at 529,447 vehicles and 2,647,420 people. This figure is up 11.25% compared to the normal daily period in 2024.
