Heavy rains concentrated in mountainous and midland areas from the evening of July 2, then spread to the plains. Many places could receive over 150mm of rain in just two days.
On July 2, the heat wave showed signs of easing in the North, only appearing in the plains with the highest temperature of 35-37 degrees Celsius. The weather in the region was hot but not too uncomfortable, while the Central region was still extremely hot at 35-38 degrees Celsius.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that after a day of high temperatures, from the evening of July 2, the mountainous and midland areas of the North will experience moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms. Rainfall is generally 40-80mm, with some places experiencing very heavy rain of over 150mm.
In Hanoi and the Northern Delta, thunderstorms also appeared from the evening of July 2 but the amount was smaller, commonly 15-30mm. This situation lasted until July 4, causing the heat to end.
Page Accuweather Hanoi is forecast to record a slight temperature drop on July 2-3, accompanied by thunderstorms with a probability of 55%. By the end of this week, the heat may return to the area.

– From Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue: Showers and thunderstorms at night in some places, hot and very hot during the day. Lowest temperature 27-30 degrees Celsius; highest 35-38 degrees Celsius, some places over 38 degrees Celsius.
– From Da Nang to Binh Thuan: Showers and thunderstorms at night in some places, hot and very hot during the day. Lowest temperature 25-28 degrees Celsius; highest 35-38 degrees Celsius, in the north some places above 38 degrees Celsius.
– Highlands: Showers and thunderstorms in some places at night, scattered thunderstorms in the evening, locally heavy rain. Lowest temperature 21-24 degrees Celsius; highest 30-33 degrees Celsius.
