The Operations Center of the Municipality of Rio informs that the municipality of Rio de Janeiro entered PHASE 4 at 2:45 am this Sunday, January 14, 2024, due to heavy rainfall accumulated in 24 hours. Furthermore, there are several ongoing incidents that impact the routine of the city, especially in the North Zone of Rio.

Current situation:
Currently, according to the Rio Alert System, rain cores are losing intensity, however they continue to act continuously and may cause an increase in these rain accumulations.

Cloudy to cloudy skies with light to moderate rain forecast for the next few hours (until morning).

    The Municipal Civil Protection activates 29 sirens in nine communities in Rio

    The Operations Center informs that the Municipal Civil Protection has activated 29 sirens in 16 communities this Sunday (14/01), from 00:30, due to the heavy rainfall accumulated over an hour, as required by the Protocol of the System Alert and Alarm. The support points were opened by the community’s Civil Protection agents. Residents should go to support points in these locations. See below the list of activated sirens:
