The dress code for the Czech-Slovak Ball is clear: long evening dresses for ladies, tuxedos for gentlemen, characterized by black tie. Although it seems clear how to meet the requirements of this social fashion etiquette, not all guests will meet them with absolute grace. Fashion blunders
How front to us Czech designer Dominika Sedláčková confirmed, the length of the dress to the floor is a major priority in this designated dress code, dresses so short, with which the ladies would deserve the biggest faux pas, are completely unacceptable.
However, there are certain rules of appropriate etiquette even if the length is chosen correctly. “Transparent, transparent materials and very naked models are not suitable for prom. As for the slit, it can be high, but it’s covered. When the leg is stuck out, it peeks out, but when the dress is tighter, the slit expands with every movement, which is also unacceptable.” the designer let herself be heard about missteps that are close to a certain amount of vulgarity.
Gentlemen would then step completely aside with a classic suitthe black tie dress code basically determines a tuxedo with – ideally a hand-tied – bow tie.
The long dress of model Karolína Ludvíková, which she chose for last year’s Czech-Slovak Ball, was very revealing, and thus did not correspond to the splendor of the event.
Emphasis on materials
When choosing a dress, ladies should also pay attention to luxurious, beautiful social materials, such as silk, velvet, glittering embroideries also look impressive. The sequined relief adds a social mood and a certain pomp to the look. The material should not be underestimated even on the winter coats with which you enter the ball. Although you will immediately head to the dressing room, the ideal choice is long cashmere coats or fur coats, which complement the formal dress. So forget about winter down jackets and quilted coats.
