The Ministry of Defense explained the facts of forced detention of conscripts

The Ministry of Defense explained why raids are being carried out against guys of military age, Liter.kz reports.

The department responded to videos in the media and social networks, which show how young people are forcibly taken from home, work and life.

The Ministry of Defense noted that in Kazakhstan there is an autumn and spring conscription.

“During conscription campaigns, in some cases there are cases of untimely arrival of properly notified citizens to local military authorities. At the same time, recording citizens of military age is complicated by the fact that many of them do not live at their place of registration, and when they move, they are not registered at a new address of residence. In accordance with the current legislation, if it is impossible to serve a summons to a conscript in person, ensuring his appearance is entrusted to the internal affairs bodies,” the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.

If citizens resist, then police officers are authorized to forcibly detain and transport them. The draft commission determines the status of the recruited person. If there are no grounds for conscription for compulsory military service, he is sent home, and if there are grounds, he is sent to undergo a medical examination and carry out other activities within the framework of conscription, the ministry informed.

The Ministry of Defense recalled that the legislation provides for administrative and criminal liability for evading conscription for compulsory military service.
