Visitors to Comic-Con Prague 2022 can take part in photography, autograph signings and discussions with foreign and domestic actors and artists, as well as screenings, workshops, competitions, exhibitions, concerts as well as playing video games and board games. They can also purchase fan and professional merch associated with popular franchises on site. But what attracts here the most, apart from meeting like-minded crazy people of all ages, are the mentioned guests. Bernard Hill, known as the captain of the Titanic, confirmed his participation, and especially the seventeenth king of Rohan Théoden, to whom perhaps someone will finally tell where Gondor was when the Western Hollows fell. But he will be far from alone.
Christopher Lambert began his acting career with a few minor roles in French films and became famous for his role as Tarzan in TARZAN, LORD OF THE APES. For his role in the film UNDERGROUND, Lambert was awarded the César for best actor in 1985. “Finn Jones from Iron Fist, Victoria Yeates and Richard Coyle from Fantastic Beasts have also accepted the invitation. “Highlander” Connor MacLeod, i.e. Christopher Lambert, will also arrive,” Pavel Renčín told Blesk, Marketing Director of Active Radio, whose production division NoLimits is co-organizing the event. In addition to the acting stars, there will also be many guests from the ranks of comic creators and writers, for example, the author of the excellent Czech comic book Breathtaking Miracle, Petr Macek. Foreign comic creators will include David Lloyd, Lee Sullivan, James O’Barr, Kevin J. Anderson or Stewart Kenneth Moore. Visitors will be able to observe all artists at work.
Visitors will also be entertained by cosplayers in perfect costumes. “In addition to meeting them in abundance in the corridors, the PragoCosplay costume competition and a non-competitive children’s costume show will once again take place. When evaluating the competition, not only the quality of the costume itself is important, but also the overall actor’s portrayal of the selected character,” explained festival program director Václav Pravda.

The players will also get their money’s worth. An area of over 1400 m2 will be reserved for video games and board games. New and retro consoles, video games, virtual reality, but also gaming computers, laptops, etc. will be presented within the giant video arcade. Deskohern will then offer dozens of tables for card and board games and puzzles. There will also be a rich fan program, which is being prepared by a community known from other Czech cons led by Potterfan.

There are also a number of other specialties and great projects on the Prague Comic-Con program. A special exhibition called FutureCity will transport visitors to the Prague of the near future with the help of the most modern virtual technologies. The musical 2116 by the famous science fiction writer Ray Bradbury is also worth mentioning in the form of a staged costume concert or an exhibition of life-size Lego sculptures and Star Trek costumes and props.
