The 26th opening ceremony of Jeden svět/One World international human rights documentary film festival was held in Prague.

Within the framework of the event, the Homo Homini human rights award was presented to this year’s winner, Abzas Media, one of the independent online media outlets of Azerbaijan, which focuses on the internal political situation of Azerbaijan, human rights and corruption in local state institutions.

Leyla Mustafaeva, the new editor-in-chief of the editorial office, received the award on behalf of editorial journalists, including editorial co-founder Ulvi Hasanli and editor-in-chief Sevinj Vagifgizi, who were imprisoned by the Azerbaijani regime. In her speech, Leila Mustafaeva noted that the editorial is mainly focused on human rights violations, restrictions on freedom of speech and high level of corruption in Azerbaijan, and it became known to the public after the discovery of corrupt deals related to construction works in Nagorno Karabakh.
