New Delhi (Viswas News). A video of a man slapping a bank employee is becoming increasingly viral on social media. The video is being shared with the claim that this is a Bharatiya Janata Party leader who first misbehaved with the bank employee and then beat him up.
Vishvas News in its investigation found the viral claim to be misleading. Actually the name of the person seen in the viral video is Mayur Borde. He is not a BJP leader but a leader of the youth wing of Swabhimani Shetkari Sangathan.

To find out the truth of the viral claim, we extracted several key frames from the video and searched them through Google reverse image. We found a report related to the video on Aaj Tak’s website. Report was published on 14 August 2024. According to the report, the name of the person seen in the video is Mayur Borde. Who is the youth district president of the Shetkari Sangathan.
Based on the information received, we searched on Google using the relevant keywords. We found a video related to the claim. Report Published on the website of Indian Express on 14 August 2024. According to the report, this incident took place in Bank of Maharashtra in Jalna, Maharashtra. Regarding this incident, Mayur Borde says that the bank manager was harassing the farmers. He went to the manager with the problems of the farmers. But he did not listen to him and the matter escalated so much that he raised his hand on the manager. Later the manager lodged an FIR regarding this incident, after which he was arrested.
Taking the investigation forward, we started searching the social media accounts of Mayur Borde. We found his social media accounts. Facebook According to the information available on the accounts, he is the youth district president of the farmers’ organization.
We contacted Mayur Borde for more information. He told us that he is not associated with BJP. He is associated with Kisan and Shetkari Sangathan. The bank manager was harassing the farmers regarding the loan. He was asking the farmers to write down when they will repay the loan. We had earlier talked to the bank manager on the phone regarding this matter, but he did not listen to us. We then went to the bank to talk to the manager in this regard. There we had an argument with him and I accidentally slapped him.
Finally, we scanned the account of the user who shared the video with the false claim. We found that the user shares posts related to an ideology. The user is followed by more than a thousand people.
