TV cameraman Craig Evans (42) is said to have spent almost £10,000 – almost €12,000 – to have the bunnies tattooed on his body by various artists around the world. So far, he has gotten tattoos at salons in the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, Spain, France and the United States.
Craig says he got the first one in 2009 and at the time he had no plans to get any more rabbits tattooed on his body. But after he had the second one done in New York a few years later, he decided to stick with the theme.
The designs vary widely, from hyper-realistic black and gray pieces to colorful cartoons and even futuristic-looking robots.

Admiration
He says his obsession with furry creatures started as a child with his admiration for cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny, Roger Rabbit and Thumper.
Craig also collects rabbit-themed art from around the world. “I like the aesthetic of a rabbit. They are such cute creatures and I really like the contrast between something as cute as a rabbit tattoo and something usually known as something for cool people. Unfortunately I don’t have rabbits as pets, because I have a terrier called Bertie. I don’t think that would be a good combination,” he said.
Craig says he also has a tattoo of his terrier, although the dog is depicted wearing a bandana in the shape of a bunny, so as not to deviate from his overall aesthetic.
His new record also fulfills a childhood dream: to gain a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. “I’ve always wanted to have a record, but never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever get one. My framed certificate hangs proudly on the wall in my living room and I am so proud and happy. It is a dream come true,” said the rabbit collector.
