The President of the Libyan Degrees Federation (Noureddine Triki) gave an overview of the Libyan Degrees Federation from its founding, as it was founded in 1962, joined the International Federation in 1964, and joined the Arab Maghreb Union in 1975. He was one of the founders and then joined the African Federation in 1978, and then recounted the beginning of the international tour, where The first tour was in 2007, won by the Libyan cyclist (Ahmed Muhammad), and the second tour was in 2008, won by the Syrian cyclist (Omar Hassanein), and 2009 was won by the Libyan cyclist, Ahmed Youssef. Since then, he has not joined this tour.
Regarding the fourth international tour of Libya, 6 cities will host the tour, and the participating delegations will be received in Benghazi. The first stage will start from Benghazi to Al-Marj, a distance of 115 kilometers, and the second from Al-Marj to Al-Bayda, 100 kilometers. The third stage, from Al-Bayda to Derna, will be 115 kilometers, and Derna will have a scientific program. And cultural and then heading to the city of Misrata, to start the fourth stage. There will be a tour for amateurs, and then the tour will start from the city of Misrata to Al-Khoms, a distance of 120 kilometers, and the fifth stage is from Al-Khoms to Tripoli, 120 kilometers, and from Tripoli to Sabratha, 120 kilometers, which is the final one. . The convoy then returns to Tripoli for the closing ceremony.
There was an intervention by the President of the African Confederation of Degrees (Wagih Azzam) via Zoom technology, in which he praised the efforts made by the Libyan Federation, and that the African Union will provide the necessary support and will be the support for this tour.
There was also an intervention via Zoom by the President of the Arab Maghreb Federation and the Tunisian Cycling Federation (Nawfal Al-Marshawi), in which he provided support and thanks to the Libyan Federation, and confirmed the participation of Tunisian riders in this tour, hoping that it would be a successful tour.
In a statement to the Libyan newspaper Al-Anbaa, the head of the Tour’s Media Committee and the Director of the Information Office of the Libyan Cycling Federation (Magdy Al-Mabrouk) said that the conference was attended by the President of the Olympic Committee (Jamal Al-Zarrouk), the President of the Libyan Cycling Federation (Noureddine Triki), and via Zoom the President of the African Union and the Vice-President of the Tour. The International Federation (Wajih Azzam), the President of the Maghreb Union and the Tunisian Federation (Nawfal Al-Marshawi), and a member of my city of Misrata (Omar Mustafa Al-Naas).
