‘The Legend of Moolah Jat’ is the highest grossing Punjabi film

The makers of the Punjabi film ‘The Legend of Moolah Jat’ in Pakistan say that this film has become the highest grossing Punjabi film of the country so far. The film has earned 7.8 million dollars in the last four weeks.

According to a press release issued by the film’s executive producer Amara Hekmat in Lahore, ‘The Legend of Moolah Jat’ became the highest grossing Punjabi film of all time worldwide in its fourth week of release. And broke the record.

He added that the film has successfully surpassed the lifetime earnings of all Punjabi hits, including ‘Carry On Jatta 2,’ ‘Sonkin Sonkane’ and ‘Chal Mera Pat 2’ as it It has a worldwide box office gross of over 172 crores.

The film has previously managed to create several other records and holds many titles including, highest grossing Pakistani film, second highest grossing film of the subcontinent in the UK for the year 2022. and the most watched South Asian film in Norway.

‘The Legend of Moolah Jat’ was released globally on 13 October 2022 with over 500 screens in 25 different territories, making it one of the biggest releases to come out of Pakistan.

However due to high demand the film gets more screens in both domestic and overseas markets. The film has recently released in France as well and is looking forward to a great reception in that market.

‘The Legend of Moolah Jat’ has managed to set new benchmarks for the Pakistani film industry and already has several records to its name as it has catapulted the country’s cinema into the 200 crore club.
